Dear Visitors,

I am proud and excited to have taken office as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Hungary as of 1 July 2022.

I have undertaken my duty, being aware of the centuries-old historical ties between the Turkish and Hungarian peoples and the deeply rooted friendship between the two nations. We will continue our work, bearing in mind the responsibility this post entails. I hope that our close cooperation with the Hungarian authorities will further strengthen the existing strong ties.

Next year, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of our diplomatic relations with Hungary, established with the Treaty of Friendship signed on 18 December 1923. In this framework, following the declaration of 2024 as the Mutual Cultural Year between Türkiye and Hungary, we are entering a period during which we will organize many events and activities. Furthermore, the excitement of commemorating at the same time the centennial of the founding of our Republic makes this period even more significant.

We wish to upgrade the current political, economic, commercial, cultural and sportive relations between Türkiye and Hungary with your valuable support. Not limiting ourselves to our bilateral relations, it is also among our primary goals to develop our relations in a way to include also third countries.

Our doors will continue to be open to you, as they have always been. I would like to emphasize that we will be close to every citizen who will knock on our door, including our students, business people and artists, that we will work in cooperation with you, and that we will always be open to receive your valuable support and proposals.

I wish to extend my special thanks to my predecessors for the positive legacy they have left.
