I had the honor of presenting my Letter of Credentials on 18 June 2026 as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Hungary upon my arrival in Budapest on 14 June 2026.

I am deeply pleased and excited that I assume my duties in Hungary, a country that is our friend, ally, and strategic partner.

Türkiye and Hungary share deep-rooted historical ties, a rich common cultural heritage, and highly comprehensive relations. Hungary is one of the first countries that the Republic of Türkiye concluded a Treaty of Friendship upon its establishment. As Türkiye and Hungary have moved past the centenary of the forging of diplomatic ties, the bilateral relations have gained remarkable momentum in almost all areas.

Our foremost goal is to further strengthen and develop these relations, which have expanded significantly in recent years through the marking of eminent anniversaries and the implementation of thematic collaborations on the basis of mutual interest. It is of great importance to us that we have fostered strong solidarity with Hungary on regional issues concerning our shared geography and extended our comprehensive and fruitful dialogue to all international organizations such as the UN, NATO, OSCE, and the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).

I would like to emphasize that the doors of our Embassy will always be open to all our friends in Hungary, as they have been until now, and that we will continue to serve with an accessible and solution-oriented approach.
